A big sushi bouquet to the folks at eLumenotion for their SharePoint Skinner tool, which helps you see all the different colors, images, and classes that make up a theme, and lets you "alter existing styles in a WYSIWYG fashion." I particularly love the Inspector tool, which lets you click on an area of the page to see which part(s) of the style sheet control(s) it. Best of all, it's a free download!
